Kate is wearing a very fancy looking updo hairstyle that looks very fancy. Create the extra height in the crown area by pinning hair over a hair form. Hair forms are usually available at beauty supply stores.

If you have trouble finding one, you can always use a pair of pantyhose wrapped up in a ball.

All the hair is pulled back into the updo, leaving no fringe around the face. Add fancy long earrings and you have a fabulous prom hairstyle.
